 Faculty & Professional Staff Senate Goals (2025–2026) Final Draft

1. Governance & Leadership

Strengthen shared governance by establishing the Senate as a meaningful decision-making partner, ensuring transparent administrative processes, and clarifying institutional roles and communication pathways to support effective and accountable leadership.

2. Staffing & Workload

Promote sustainable staffing and equitable workload practices by advocating for sufficient faculty, professional staff, and student support resources aligned with enrollment growth and academic needs.

3. Academic Quality, Accessibility & Student Experience

Support high-quality, equitable learning environments by strengthening academic integrity, resource adequacy, accessibility compliance, and meaningful student feedback mechanisms.

4. Institutional Culture & Communication

Foster a respectful, inclusive, and transparent institutional culture by strengthening communication practices and supporting shared responsibility for professional conduct across all employee groups.

5. Strategic Alignment & Systems Integration

Ensure that faculty and staff perspectives shape institutional planning by monitoring major initiatives, assessing organizational changes, and aligning Senate priorities with the College’s strategic goals.
